Obviously, most of us that post here are very sensitive about what, when, and how things are posted on these sites. Put me at the top of the list about sensitivity. That being said, I DO NOT believe that allmanned's post about Lance Armstrong was meant as any kind of disrespect to what CaptSkipper and his family are going thru. It may have been an ill timed post, but there was certainly no malice towards CaptSkipper, Dickey, or anyone on here.
One thing FOR sure, allmanned is a fan of Dickey Betts, doesn't put up with no Dickey bashing BS, and thats good enough for me.

ChrisR, they only host this site as a courtesy, the promotional responsibilities are soley with Dickey's management... Who as you know can barely keep the home page up to date let alone sending out nice emails, etc. So that's the scoop.
I'm subscribed to the Peach-O-Gram and have been for years. Honestly, I don't open it all that often. However, when I do, I never seem to see anything about Dickey in there. Maybe I'm missing the Dickey posts in the ones I don't open? That may be. It strikes me odd that as they host his site, I never see him mentioned. Again, it may be timing on the ones I do look at.
Allmanned- after such a sad, touching and important post that Dan was kind enough to post on this website, that's the follow up post you put up? Are you kidding me?
Anyway although I never met either Capt Skipper or Clay Pelland, they are both the salt of the earth. In addition their passion and love of the music we all come to these sites for are unparalleled. Clay Pelland made an amendment to the address originally posted and here it is:

I copied this from the blue site by ClayPelland. The Captskipper has done quite a bit to get the music out there. So the news sucks.
Good evening, Its been a while and I hope all are well. I'm here letting everyone know that captskipper is very sick and is in need of help. He has cancer on his lungs and in his brain. The chemo had taken his body and he is confined to the bed 24/7. Renee is doing the best she can but they are living off a very limited income. They need help now. A single dollar bill will be great! Anything your heart will allow. Skip is my best friend and one if the most important people in regards to "us" having so much great music. You know! Not to mention being one of the nicest guys a person can ever know.
