John (bluedad) is truly one of the finest gentleman I have ever had the honor of being able to call friend. He is a very special man - through and through.

Randall Bramblett is HOT! The bluedad came over to see the show with my wife and me and it was outstanding. But the truly outstanding thing about tonight was bluedad. He's a true blue guy - no pun intended. He was exhausted after going to his daughter's graduation in Orangeburg earlier in the day, but he's one of the rare people left in this world whose word is his bond, so he came and blessed us with his wit and his affable good humor. Some people are all show and no go. Not bluedad - he says what he means and means what he says.

Congrats to Blueda's daughter on her graduation. Good parenting! Couldnt agree more with John on the 'hangin out' with friends at events. I think, for me anyway, that is one reason the Jam for Duane is so special. The people who come are just the greatest, like-minded, musically spiritual people I know. It is always so enlightning. Out the door to the Crawfish Festival...play the blues!!

Just started Gregg's book - had some hard feelings about bad things he said about a few people and one in particular that he left out completely. However, who am I to bash something I hadn't read. Several pages in, I was in tears. Gregg, I know your pain, brother. Whatever you remember and however you remember it don't matter; the fact that you lived through it is what is amazing. That's the last thing I ever heard him utter to a friend of mine was "Can you believe I lived through it?". No, Gregg, I can't. And yes, no matter what, I am glad.

Gotta say it was major league fun in Macon meeting all the friends here. I've been very fortunate to spend some quality time - but not enough from my selfish standpoint - with bluedad, who is one of the finest, most upstanding guys anybody could ever encounter (and I encounter a lot of people in my travels). He and Brother Dave Pearson took us all over Macon showing us everything there is to see practically. Dave gave me a personal tour of the BigHouse, too. Just great people who I hope to see a lot more in the future! And it was so neat to me Kev and hid gorgeous sidekick and Nic and Pam, and finally after many wasted years bickering over nothing - GHANDI.Hate to leave anybody out but Paul and Heidi - where you gonna go find more gracious and generous folks than them???? I sure hope lots of folks want to make a return trip to GABBAfest!!!!

Y'all still got labels on beer cans in Bamy?? I would just plaster the can around my head and move on to the questioning......:) Kev....you are always welcome in GA or BAMY....Just get to SC and I'll drive you where you want to go. Bring that nursing, bootlegging, photograping, pool sharking, girl friend with you..:). She is definitley a sweetheart....:) Got some miles to go tommorow. My oldest daughter graduates with a master's degree in Biotechnology tomorrow. A 110 mile round trip then to Columbia, SC to see Randall Bramblett in Columbia, SC and hopefully have some late lunch with pintobean and his wife before the show:) We were all attracted to the music, however the time we get to hang with each other is just as important to me....:) That weekend we spent in Macon is one of my most treasured weekend of music and friendship ever...:)

The SKYDOGS BAND will be performing their special style of music at the annual Crawfish Boil in Gadsden sat from 2-4pm. Love for y'all to come on out. Had a good talk with Ol Bluedad...had a good story. After a long day, he stopped and picked up a 12 pack and headed home...So, ridin along, he pops a top and proceeds to cruise. Passing a St. Trooper, he notices that 'Johnny Law' has spotted him. With his quick thinking, he peels the label off the bottle and sticks in on his forehead. The lights come on and Bluedad pulls to the curb. The officer comes and asks..."hey boy, you been drinkin'? Bluedad responds.."No sir, I'm on the patch".

SMonroe very nice post on GB.. 🙂 This is what is written on the back cover of Gregg Allman's book.. The music was so important to us that there wasn't any time for chatter-we wanted to play, and we just played and played all day. The only thing we wanted to do was get our sound tighter and tighter, get it better and better. We played for each other , we played to each other , and we played off each other, which is what the Allman Brothers is all about. We were like Lewis and Clark, man - we were musical adventurers, explorers. We were one for all and all for one.. :dog:  :inlove:

happyhere been to NC a few times over the years. But can't think of any place I would rather live than in Ohio. Gregg has kinda shot himself in the foot. And too that idiot that his been flapping his jaws again take your meds and go away. It takes a little man to hide behind a computer. And weren't you in the marines??? if you were you are a disgrace to the uniform and what it stands for. And if you were you probably didn't survive basic training before they booted you're sorry ass out! Me retired army
