Good Morning :sunny: Allman Brothers rare performances ..playing at The Cinema Art Centre in Huntington , L.I. N.Y. last night ..here is the link http://www.cinemaartscentre.org/event/the-allman-brothers-band-rare-performances-1960s-1990s/ I went to this hoping to see some film footage that perhaps was newly discovered.... but that is not what I found. As many here and on the ABB sites who have been fans and discovered these sites we have access to many videos shows from long ago and also with youtube.. It was great watching it all up on a big screen .. and this was my favorite band back in the day.. There was no one who complimented each other like Duane and Dickey..what a winning combination with those two and then Berry's insistent bass playing making it an unbelievable trio... it was heavenly and reminiscent watching this show.. There is no doubt with the passing of Duane and then Berry that Dickey was the leader of this band and drove it to shinning success.. Just watching the movie.. there are no words..it's all about the music... ( I am so happy I was around in those days ) I had to leave before the end.. it was the Beacon 09 with Clapton as the guest.. it was very good... but still watching the ABB of today, there is a major component missing which is the Betts influence.. it can be copied at times but never duplicated.. if that makes sense.. He has lied, on this Site, often. He has cursed women on this Site, and has threatened them with verbal assaults. He has assumed multiple identities on this Site, going far beyone assuming a new user name. He has (attempted) to ruse the good people on this Site. He has continually berated Dickey Betts, and accused Mr. Betts of performing under the influence, without possessing proof, on the Site designed as a fan friendly site for Mr. Betts. He has been banned from sites, yet continues to appear. He has attempted to ruse users here by attempting to change their passwords. He has sent users here profane-laden personal messages. A nusiance or just a pain in the asses of many here? No, far more of a concern, far deeper issues.
