I retired on 31 Dec 2010 with almost 33 years with the DoD. My only regret was we had not killed Bin Laden. Thnaks to our Military that task has been accomplished. I thank God Everyday George W Bush had his hand on the throttle on September 11, 2001.

I can't argue with anyone who voted for SRV, bluedad. That guy was so connected to his instrument but I've always felt he was also one of the greatest blues singers ever. I can listen to SVR in a heartbeat. But Duane... every time I listen to the second half of Mountain Jam I am completely awed at the MAJESTY of the performance and there's so much more! Duane Allman was bigger than music. But with all the incredible music by Duane, one song by him is my favorite and never fails to put me in the mood for revelry - Happily Married Man!

Most music listeners don't know about Duane Allman. Most everybody has heard of The ABB, however couldn't name a bnad member besides Gregg and that is only for the Cher marriage.... Damned sad IMHO

I voted for Duane but it's not going to do much good. I hated voting with that choice - two distinctly different, equally talented and sheerly brilliant artists. Wish I hadn't voted now.

I am 60 years old and don't need to be talked to like an ignoramus; and I see Prine is still got a toilet mouth; Brent, although I love the boy, thinks our President is Muslim (which is an ancient religion and does not necessarily mean one is a terrorist) and I thought, shoot, this place is a toilet.
It was very nice to get a message from Mitch wishing me well. Nic and Pam, I hope you are having a quiet week for a change. Although I love Dickey, those who know me know where to find me. It's a shame how this site has degenerated since Red Dog's passing when everyone was on their best behavior because we had a watch Dog.
