All my best to Nic & Pam!!! My uncle (1914-2000) saw two angels appear just as his little brother died as a child in 1923. My uncle didn't tell anybody until he was past age 65 due to being afraid people would think he was nutty. I still remember when he told me. Noticed on the blue site postings about how Butch Trucks has only two pictures on his Facebook page of the original ABB and Dickey is cropped out of both of them. You only see Butch, Jaimoe, Gregg, Duane & Berry. Wish Butch could love & forget like Nic & Pam & most here. But he brags about being an atheist. Guess it shows.

repost from Pam's facebook: I have always believed that angels are in our midst. This has been so evident in the last few weeks as Nic has been in the hospital at OSU and at hospice in Dayton. Yesterday God sent a true Angel to us in the form of our friend and musician, Lefty Collins. He drove 6 1/2 hrs to see Nic and me. God sent him on a mission, and he answered the call. Of course, he brought his guitar, and played and sang lots of our favorite Dickey Betts songs. Also known as Allman Brothers tunes. Four hrs of visiting and music. After 2 days of sleeping, and not conversing much, it was great to see him responding and singing along, tapping his feet, and clapping. Don't know how we could ever thank Lefty enough for this gift. And he wasn't alone. There were a whole lot of our peachy friends here in spirit. Can't mention them all, Sari, Danny, Terri B. Paul, Heidi, Judi, Helen, Nancy, etc. Etc, etc. , and Dana Clouser in the flesh. Thanks, also to that special lady, Lee Ann, who shared her man. Thanks to all of you for your love and support, but especially to the Messenger, Lefty Collins. Love you guys. Pam and Nic. A very special gesture by a true brother of the road.

Thinking of tears...they´re made of water and salt a scientist would say first. No,they are made of grievance, pitty, disappointments, desperation and sometimes of laughter. But first of all they are all made of love. When you feel the love in each tear you´ll discover another component:Being thankfull

Good Morning Brothers and Sisters, Sure have been thinking alot about Brother Nic. We never had the pleasure of meeting but I know the ABB and Dickey Betts in particular touched his soul and my soul and because of this, we are connected. He has a smile on his face in every one of the photos I've seen over the last couple of years, there is a lesson for us all in those pics. Thanks Nic! So today, as I walk the streets of Gotham, I will send a thought or two or three.. to Nic and family in hopes that somehow in some wierd, cosmic way they get there. Have a good and safe weekend everyone. KLBazur "Dickey?....Dickey Betts is as bad as bad can be." Duane Allman, radio interview 1971

The Steve Miller Band song "Seasons" was mentioned recently it's some serious music -- all those ones that were mentioned -- YSGrace, JFEden -- they seem to fit so beautifully & aptly & respectfully Also his song from #5 -- "I Love You" -- those vids are wonderful Rainy -- 2 years already, good-lord -- also, 8 seasons -- RD was a good man & absolutely genuine soul when the big lake is roiling, so is my brother's spirit -- that's what I believe -- conditions are Good bro, expect mad vibes tmrw... Just looked at GAF w/Danny T clip from Alan Thicke Show (I think) late 80s or so (I think :hmmm:) -- thank you Dan, I love it when you're burnin that axe...
