Figured ya'll might get a kick outta this tale. Monday night i rode the bike up to the waterin hole,dropped 10 bucks in the jukebox,& headed for the o-zone.Got there & headed back to the shack. After gettin home i took a shower,grabbed a bite and went to bed.Then about 2 or 3 am i woke up all scrambled and hit the kitchen for a bowl of cereal.I grabbed a ziploc gal baggie off the stove and poured a bowl and milk.After takin a bite i thought ,,,man this stuff is crunchy! And it taste like sh*t too.Took another bite and about gagged.That was it.I sat the bowl down and stumbled off back to the rack. Well about 5 am i got up.And while back in the kitchen i saw the bowl there on the counter.I usually keep a spotless kitchen(neat freak)But that night i left the bowl sittin there. Anyway! i saw the cereal(i thought)had swelled up to the top of the bowl,soakin up the milk.Then i thought,,,man that don't look like cereal.And then after smellin it i said,,,,man thats friggin cat food! Then later that day the pump motor on the well went out.Kept throwin the breaker etc ,,,loooong story.Anyway when i got up the next morn,we had no water.First thought was to go dig a hole to let nature sing.Thank the good Lord i came to my senses & just went down to the local store.Was thinkin while on the throne.Man i sure hope that cat food dont start tweakin all my senses out,,,,, end of story...Gotta run,,Gotta cat comin over to start puttin on a new roof. there it goes again..Maybe i'll get him to switch it from shingles to a tin roof. Cat on a hot tin roof. Minds wanderin fast and quick here...seee ya'll:bike:

Im a coffee snob. Yep, I admit to the affliction that affects many. I endured giving up coffee for Lent this year, and that is when I realized the buzz is all worth it. I enjoy everything about coffee; its smell, texture, warmth, coolness, flavor, buzz. The methods to brew it, the mugs I cradle in the mornings...the entire experience. French press is my favorite, although when out in CA I was turned onto to Turkish press and man that was totally cool. Kicked ass as a matter of fact. When I travel, I always go into the local coffee shops and grocery stores looking for new coffee to bring home. How do I take it? Depends on the time of day, nevertheless at home with organic agave or organic brown sugar, and organic half and half or heavy cream. In the evenings after dinner depends on the meal but lighter fare. Every now and then I will grab a can of Pet milk and use that as a total nostalgic return to my mother's staple for coffee when I was little. She always kept a pot of coffee on the stove, and a can of Pet milk in the fridge. That white powder stuff? Never. I would rather grab a bottle water and venture up the road. haha I map my frequent trips to road stops that have pretty good coffee. Music and coffee are my ying and yang. Betts with coffee is perfect for me.

I sure have enjoyed listening to the two CD's from sept., 1971 and feb. 1972. One thiing I noticed from the 72 Macon show is that Gregg seemed to be in charge. A KILLER version of "Hot Lanta"! Gregg says " this one's about Georgia" and they proceed to nail it. I think Dickey only stepped up when Gregg was no longer able. Anyway, take care all you Dickheads and have a good week end. Yes, Rick...science is making some amazing discoveries that will benefit many. As a side note, I still have a shirt thats very similar to Dickey's "Highway Call" shirt (cool collage, Rainy!). I just don't have the hair anymore to make it work! Can we find a cure for that pleeze? Happy Spring!

Coffee for me, and sane discussion with a brother in the music behind the scenes. A good reason to come here this morning. Most of you know I am a clinician. Im certain most here know of someone who has died from complications of HIV. It looks as finally a cure is on the horizon. Researchers say a cure is within 6 months. That is incredible news in science. Lighter note; it looks like a cure for grey hair is on the horizon as well. Lets just say that whole thing about antioxidants is proving true. May put the hair dye industry out of business haha. Lastly, good morning to Rainy, my sweetheart in the music. A fine woman with a heart of gold.
