Ya Chris, I also commend you! Listened thru lunch. Made me want frozen strawberry margarita's, yes even put the umbrella in it, and with them 3 mates of yours serving them!
Incredible songwriting ChrisR, I hope you can share more soon!
Thanks everyone! Actually it's a funny song structurally. Every now and then you'll come across a song that "modulates" from one key to another. "Bobby McGee" is one, where near the end of the song it changes keys from G to A. The effect is a cool one and helps out in that song's case, in the build up.
"Sailing" is pretty unique in that it actually modulates four times in every progression. When you hear the riff and that first chord (Bb6/9) the song is in Bb. Then it changes to a D6 and the song is then in D. The bridge remains in D. Other chords in the song are G, and A in the turnaround, with G Maj7 A G and a Bm11/F#.
If Im not mistaken, I think the song changes keys 16 times, the trick was making i work un-noticed...
Nice tune, Chris! Love the minor chords and the lower register solo on the drums.
Excellent Guitar,Chris !
Thanks, Chris - NICE!
Just a little mental relief for those in horrible weather today

Yeah, Paul and Ringo seem to be in top notch shape like the Stones, and Paul really brings it in that performance. I like that weird slide instrument he's playing, too. Check out Dave Grohl on the drums. He's a throwback - a real rock & roller! Glad you enjoyed that.
Walter I just checked out that Paul McCartney / Nirvana video and.... WOWWW!! I expected it to be awkward yet it was awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I guess the mods keep deleting my posts. They were very generic and asked why someone sent me an insulting pm.. just facts and truth I copied the pm and I guess capn has something against my posts.. Yet he leaves nasty ones by others
Rajo good to see you buddy. How's the weather over there?
Capn...glad you're doing well...may february be kind to you.
Good to see you back,Jim. Really fine pictures, very tastefull...
Yeah, Mitch, Gary Clark, Jr wasn't too shabby either. I also loved the Dave Grohl tune. I've gotten to be a pretty big fan of Foo Fighters. Speaking of which, have you ever seen this?

Agree with you Pinto on that! Katie Perry was nothing special. My favorite non Paul/Ringo moment was Joe Walsh playing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. He was really into it.
Mitch
Its Tuesday the 2/11 here, day to remember Whitney who passed two years ago.RIP
Vote is in!
I've heard folk's thru the yrs say what a good voice Freddie Mercury had.My brain could never digest or tolerate Queens music.Tucker on the other hand, now man there 's a voice.Mr Doug Gray could take it to the outter limit's.And the music, lyric content etc. This voting of Queen vrs Marshall Tucker is like comparing Duane Allman to the guitarist of Journey/Boston/Kiss etc:silly:We ain't even talking the same universe:cat2:
Mitch, the only thing I didn't really love last night was Katy Perry's "Yesterday". Other than that Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton and everybody else - but especially Ringo and Paul - were sensational!
:bike:GOOD TIME:bike:
Anybody see the show last night!!!?
