Red Dog was a one of a kind, larger than life character...his presence here is missed every day.

Thinking of Augie & Betty today
" Not so long ago, just a few years back. We used to hang out, down by the railroad tracks"
" Hey mister, Got a Road map? I'm kinda lost..."
"Love and Thoughts to those under the weather and Over the Rainbow"
You're right, Happy - Wayne is cool. And he sent his kid to USC and became a Gamecock fan all in one fell swoop! Gotta love that, right?
Pinto,Thank you, I got out in the pumpkin patch for the first time since October listening to some db & gs and maybe tipped the jar back a little too much! I'm up and heading to work today, hoping everyone has a good one! Hey Wayne, long time no see, that is my brother, he married the tarheel head cheerleader ,they have four children in school and spend much of their off time fishing and surfing together, all six of them! Hope you've been well!
Hey, Happy! Man, it's good to see you in a good mood as usual! Ain't nothin like gettin your sails in the wind, is there?
Sweet melissa
Luke, you know there is another bend in the river, life is good!!!
You see I'm one of those lucky birds ,blue birds,
Little late but...JK,thaks for posting the pics !
OK, I guess I just joined the club around here. Over on the blue site this ahole named 'jeneil" was mouthing off about Dickey so I had to let him have it:
jeneil quote:
"First of all, I am the Sheriff.
Secondly, this is all pretty funny. I have seen Dickey play a few times in the past decade or so - he is cooked. It is truly over for him as a guitar player. To that, there is no doubt.
He was great once, but now I don't think Warren or Derek would even trust him to strum a little rhythm. If you have seen him, and have an unbiased mind, you know - he sucks."
I think you must be cooked. At age 70, Dickey is still a hundred times as proficient at what he does than you will ever be at what you do - which is talk out of your butt.
WOW !
damn shame it cuts short

See ya in macon :koolaid:
You're right, Mitch - a terrific price considering what you walk away with - especially the memories!
As per the venue website:
"$1000 box ticket includes admission for 8 guests, autographed CDs from Dickey Betts, 2 bottles of wine, a cheese tray from Dovetail, a cocktail server, and valet parking."
That's $125 per ticket...not a bad price.

With the rescheduling of the ABB's final four Beacon dates, maybe they can end it all at the Beacon in the fall or something. Seems like an appropriate ending. Hope Gregg Allman isn't too sick.
