Gotta agree with everyone so far... Everything was great this weekend -- the music, the vibe, the people, the city. Got to talk to Dickey for like a whole minute or so. He was in great shape this weekend. What a blast.
My review of Macon is in the forum. Loved the show!

Well, Neil, if you make it to Nawlins it's only a stones throw from there to Lexington, SC. Come see me! My home's yours!
Mike,
Thanks for the info on L'il Red & Big Bad. Check out their music if you're interested. Nancy (Red) is a dynamic singer performer with pipes to match Koko Taylor (even though Red is about half Koko's size). Jeff is a fine guitarist and Willie is by far the best drummer I've ever worked with.
Some day I'll get to NOLA and Acadiana to the west. I'll let you know when and, if it's OK with you, I'll try and look you up.
Neil
Have a great time, Mary! Are you a hot babe?
Macon bound... if I see anyone I recognize I might come up to you. Be prepared. And I hope you'll do the same. 🙂

Jazzfest going strong 2 weeks...I love it, Warren and Buddy Guy on tonite... Dickey and Great Southern and Prince William and Prince Harry are all visiting in Memphis lighting up the Town.
Wishing I could be there for Macon show but I will catch with y'all when you get up to NJ. Sending love to Paul and Heidi and Luke and Gina, miss you guys and keep my spirit with you.
Yes, to have Dickey back in Macon will be magical for sure, visiting the Big House will stir some smiles and tears revisiting the past with love.
Have a great time and yes it will be loud. Bring ear plugs or a headphones for that little 3 year old if going to the show, if you don't have any, see Carlos, the guitar tech and he might have some earplugs on hand for the kids.
Love to everybody here and have fun this weekend! Love, Kimberly
Godspeed to all those headed to Macon this weekend! Say Hi to Momma Louise! I double guarantee the show will be remarkable, so I hope to hear some remarks! I also guarantee the show will be LOUD!
Thinking of going to see dickey tonight at Memphis in May festival. Has anyone ever been? We would have to take our 3 year old son and we planning on going but he is not scheduled until11pm. He loves dickey and we thought a festival environment would be best. But starting so late we are worried the crowd will be to drunk and rowdy. Dickey is probably not going to draw a huge crowd though. Dickey isn't this way to often so the opportunity isn't there to try another time. Our son would be heartbroken if we don't go. He would love it and if he was playing at 8 we would definitely go. Any one know the scene? If was a wanee type environment it would be cool but I know It's not. We may have a beer or 2 but aren't heavy drinkers. The big acts are playing other stages at the same time so we wonder if the crowd won't be to crazy around DB
Yes I had, Pinto ! Nothing special...
News didnt get through here yet, feeling with the folks down there.
