Voador! Great to see you, man! Terrific video! Tyler, I was surprised to stumble across that site. Tons of good ol' ABB! And Mike, you lucky bastard! I'd give my eye teeth to see that band - esp with Zito and Walker! It'll be very interesting to see the new direction of that band without Zito but everything I've heard from Bart Walker is stellar!
RSB had Zito only...it was suppose to be his last show.
They were great !

Hey there! Thanks for the link Pinto! Your right, lots of good stuff on the mule army site!
They have a recording from Lockn from this past weekend.
Hope everyone that went had a good time!
😎

There are a treasure trove of nice sounding audience recordings archived at mulearmy.com, esp 1990's ABB. Here's one I found with one of the prettiest versions of Blue Sky I have heard.

A question for Mike aka bayoubluesrat... When you saw Royal Southern Brotherhood, did they have Mike Zito and the new guy, Bart Walker? Says on their website that the European Tour through October will include BOTH of those guys!
Back to the MTB for a bit. It turns out that an old friend of mine plays with MTB on occasion. Mark Emerick, aka Getty.
Mark and I played in the same band years ago - just not at the same time. Mark moved in when I moved back to Colorado.
Small world!

"No electricity, no mics, no amps, no extra lights - just five men and their acoustic instruments in an 800 year old stavechurch in Heddal, Notodden, Norway." And a touch of pure magic.

For Capn!

They are booked up solid until February. Ron Rainey must be a good booking agent or manager, whichever might be the case. Do you know him, Capn? One of the songs on the Christmas album, Chris Hicks plays a solo Caldwell style and you can just feel Toy in it so strongly. They are definitely a bunch of good players.
Toy was one of the few cats that could imitate Dickey's style and tone.
He often channeled The Man in The Hat.
Good friends too!

MTB Rocked here with Dickey back in Feb... Duane sat in and had a tasty little solo on Dog Eat Dog...
A month later they returned and Michael Allman was asked to join in on Can't You See
Rick does one helluva nice tribute to Toy on BRMS
Whatever one thinks about the current Marshall Tucker Band, those boys live on the road. Every time I've seen them the last few years I've been pretty pleased with their performance. They definitely maintain a certain continuity with the original band - that Southern Spirit! They're pretty much a fountain of good will. They'll be back here in Columbia, SC, on 10/8, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them again. After all these years they still make a South Carolinian proud!
Great tune by Duane, Capn, but that video's a little hard on the ears. Still appreciate your posting it!
Dance with me baby, dance with me tonight...
