Original show was to include Joe Walsh who was later scratched. Opening act was a local So California Band - Sun Child
Marc Ford joined Sun Child for encore (1 or 2 songs) One song was Can't You See (old Marshall Tucker tune)
I have what I believe to be a fairly complete cd of DBB recorded that night. I believe there might be 1 or 2 tunes missing and possible some out of order as the last tune on cd #3 is Can't You See by Sun Child. ( it wasn't me that taped the show - I was given a copy and was almost out on my feet when I left)
Dickey opened by saying that he had the whole night to play and he practically did. I had just closed on a new home and moved in so I was quite tired. I do remember it was after 1:00 AM and the band was still playing. Great version of Southbound with Marc Ford, Marc May & Dickey all trading lead. I've been a big fan of Betts since the 70's, been listening Mark May for a half dozen years and have also been following Marc Ford locally so this show was a memorable one!
