Lizzie.....We have accents down here? I....DID....NOT.....KNOW....THAT!!!! LOL. Met Charlie Daniels and Tommy about 15-18 years ago in Davy, Florida at a Big Chilli Cook off. Had the pleasure of spending about 45 minutes eating with them and chatting. When Mr. Charlie found out I was in Healthcare....He said "darlin, I just have a soft spot in my heart for teachers, missionaries and healthcare professionals, do you mind if I pray with you?" THen he and Tommy and few other people joined hands with me and my then husband and said the sweetest prayer for me and all the other people who"have chosen to take care of others as their life callin" ( as he put it) I will never EVER forget that! You just dont meet those kind of people every day. Of course this was my only encounter with Tommy, but he was one of the nicest and most talented men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. May he Rest in Peace. Lots of things going on with the family on this site and the ABB site, holding all of you in my prayers who are in need. Happy Friday Ya'll, Marci

Wow, I don't know Tommy but this is sad news. The good news is he passed in his sleep. I've seen death lately and it was a really bad one. 60...that's 2 years away. All we got is today..yes, I sound like a broken record but it's true. I wasted a bunch of days this week being miserable when I should have been being grateful. Capn, let me know if there's anything I can do...even more support....please. Marci, I've been hanging with these Southerners for so log that the accent comes on (even in writing) very easily. I got tired of hearing "You ain't from around here, are ye?" a long time ago. I pick up accents easily. Thanks, everybody for pulling me out of "da funk". Got an especially nice PM from Kimberly. It's Friday and I have to work but I do have someone whose going to drive me so no slipping and sliding to the office. Have a blessed day all. Calming vibes to Red Dog, and to my friend, Capn.

I had a friend shuttle me around this morning and I'm feeling a little better. I put dinner together as soon as I got home while I had the momentum cuz when the time to eat comes, I just know I'll be back in the pajamas. All your love has made a big difference. I have been told that my friends here are only "cyberbuddies" and I shouldn't even consider you guys "real". LMAOROF (if I could). This is my second home and you are all FAMILY. Rainy, the tickets will come and please jump up and down once for me (I can't do that either!). I can, however, lie down and that's what I'm fixin to do after I grab the new kitty to cuddle with awhile.

Hi Lizzie. I sure do hope you get some relief from the back pain. I like Pinto wish I was in NYC to lend you a helping hand. I hope you get to feeling better real soon. I am going back out and plow the snow that blew around last night. Pam & I are then heading to the Lake for just a couple of daze. We had planned longer but our future son-in-law needs a heater while he is having some urgent home repairs done. We have a few up there that will work. I hope RedDog is feeling better. Pam & I are finalizing our plans to visit Macon at the end of February while on our way to Florida to visit Paul & Heidi and Jacksonville where we were married so many years ago!! 😎 haha. Peach.

Good morning all! Lizzie, you sweet thang, don't you let this ol' world swallow you down! It's a yellow headed lava monster that will suck you in and hold you down IF YOU LET IT! I know you won't. We've all got plenty to say grace over - no matter who we are and what state we're in. That's where peace is to be found. I believe that all the way to the core of me. Start with this - the whole Dickey Betts family loves you and everyone else in a tough spot even if we squabble occasionally! I for one appreciate your kindness and generous spirit. Sure wish I could be the person to take you to the pharmacy or get your rug out for you because I'd be there right now to help you out.

Morning :sunny: Liz , hope you have a better day with the back... wintertime is rough for aliments... think spring 🙂 I believe it was Stephen who commented on Red Dog's post " R A I N Y "... when he would write things like that, it touched and warmed my heart ,gave me a smile ... I miss him .. I think his med's have been adjusted to find the right combination, and maybe with some help from God and friends he will begin to feel better... it is what I pray for.. Liz, I spoke to Ticketmaster about the tickets ?? Like ,where are they? I paid for them... they are sending out tickets and I should have them in 10 days... So, providing there isn't yet another snow storm on the concert date for DBGS.. we will be rockin at the New York City Concert Hall... Dickey Betts is what is good for me and you, you, you, you , you etc... :dog: Joseph :inlove:
