(((Liz))) Jim and Rainy are both right. Lose the selfish dick, he's holding you back. You have enough issues to deal with. One less would help. Just my .02 - we're here for you.
JK - what a wonderful pic of you and your sweet one! π
Only 2 days until I get to have both my sons home for about 30 hours. :bounce: Billy has to go back to work, but Jason (Jay) will be home for 3 days. I'm getting pretty exited. If you hear a lot of great loud music and partying - that's the Widgeon household celebrating being together! I need this so much.
Also going to see Sean Chambers play some great blues next week. After that, I'll behave for awhile. :-p
TennKev - thanks so much for your love, prayers and support. It is very much appreciated. π
Hey Mr. Jim so good to see you posting:) ... I am sad about your Dad and wish him the best and I will be hopeful for a speedy recovery..
Sounds very serious that you and girlfriend are meeting each other's family... It's good to be in love and happy, you deserve all the love .. sweet...
Lizzie  , Jim is right... you wrote it and you know it in your heart.. He is holding you back and throwing obstacles in your way... trying to beat you down and stay under his control... change your way of living and thinking.. New Job, new motivation, new friends... you can do it... if you ever need to talk .. I am here.. I am late tonight at work..
Sorry to all the Guests here at db.. IT is easier to write a note of support here to someone on the GB , no time for PMs this morning...
Rick sounds like a wonderful time in your life , getting this music together... Have some fun..
:dog:  :inlove:

No squatting here today, Luke. Got a swollen leg that won't bend without a great deal of pain. Off to the doctor's again.
Not enjoying having NO time to myself what with this job and school and health problems and no support at home. Need a new boyfriend or none at all; he's a selfish dick.
This is no way to start a new day. Praying for a better attitude and some gratitude for what I've got. I did wake up this morning.
Hey Kevin....
Thank you for writing that about Ray. I am learning more about him with each passing week, and frankly becoming more impressed and respect his talents as time moves forward.
I am in the process of finding a bass player that can really compliment Ray and that is no easy task. Its karma or chemistry cause it sure aint skill on my part that I can play with him; I just can get into his head and absorb his vibe. I love playing with him and I have not said that about a guitar player in some time.
There is one song in particular from the Bluesmll era I would love for Sir Betts to hear. I think he would really like it. Anyways, we shall see what we can craft from this ball of clay.
Thanks for that and I will tell Ray you said hello.
Rainy, its time to start ya a medicine bag:bike:
Easy goes it on that squattin Liz.Ya fool around and split them bloomers wide open:shady:
GO BUCKEYES !!!
Hi Key...

Wishing that things are going well for you too, bro.
Good to see ya back Mr. King:). I'm happy to read that you and your honey bunny are doing well and got to hang out w/ each others family. I sure do hate to read about your Dad and my prayers and vibes go out to him, you, and the whole family Bro.
Also healing prayers and vibes to Nic, Dream Lady, Kitty, Amy, Luke and Gina. Lotsa thoughts, prayers, and thanks to a lot of folks on here. Too many to name.
:sunny:Sounds like a great vacation rajo. Hope you and your mom have a great time.
Good luck w/ the new gig Rick:mohawk::guitarist::beer:
JIM-Welcome back from rajo too .
Very glad itΒ΄s all working fine, and healing vibes to your dad.
Scrolled through the Cable radiostations and found some
with mixed stuff from
Paul Anka to ZZ Top.Nice hearing.
Few days off this week for a visit to my mother, and a Denmark holiday in planing.
((( Nic)))
JK - so happy you and your honey are doing well and that you each got to meet each other's family. That said, I'm sending lots of love and good vibes for your Dad. I hope things go well.
Nic - always sending you strength and good vibes.
On another note, I've been listening to the ABB 9-8-98, Jacksonville, FL. It's a Dickey/Jack era show with a sit in by Dru Lombar on OWO. They do an acoustic set and I know I've said it more than once, but Mr. Betts gives me some serious chills and tears on this rendition of Melissa. Nobody can or ever will play it like Dickey. :smokinsmiley:
Rick, I knew Ray Highsmith here in NSB. He used to come into the bars on Flagler Ave. and hear us play when he was barely old enough to get in. He is a great vocalist and a very tasty player as well. Ray teamed up with the late and great Bobby Rance on some Bluesmill material that's through the roof. Bobby was very fond of Duane's slide technique and was one of the finest to ever wear the bottle. Alas, he was another person taken too young by the evil cancer. Bobby Rance and his Stratocaster with the beautiful feather hanging from the neck are sorey missed.
Rick, please keep us posted of your project with Ray, and the CD release as well. I'm sure you and your band will have lots of tasty tidbits to offer up to us who reside here in the House of Betts. Please tell Ray that Kevin in NSB says hello! Are you guys in 'Bama?
Best wishes and good vibes to all!!
Keegan, where is ye, girl?
There is many a morning where I go out to my garden with a cup of coffee and the intention of enjoying my flowers. Next thing I know, I'm pulling weeds. I'm not supposed to be bending over so it involves a lot of squatting.
Was going to buy some glitter to add to your "dirt" but decided to leave it pristine so you could do with it as you wished. Whatever you put it in should GLITTER.
Lizzie  the tin foil is still in tack.. I want a special jar to keep the soil in.. and I haven't had the time to search for what it is I want.. Nice to have a piece of the land that Joseph loved so much.. When I think only those few short months back.. he was on the mower cutting the grass.. he was obsessed with that.. There were days he was sick and everything hurt..but he would be out there.. He had visions of finishing the house the way he had intended it to be... Well hopefully his son Clark will continue the dream..
I sure miss him... I was in the garden this morning with my coffee , trying to sit on my bench and enjoy, but the darn weeds grow right in front of you... and I had a nice manicure.. well it is ruined now..
Monday morning blues, I guess..
Hope all you daddies out there had a wonderful Fathers day..
:dog:  :inlove:
Back to work. Dreaming of retirement.
Sent Rainy a package of red clay from Red Dog's home. It occured to me yesterday that it might be considered strange to send people dirt.
Does it shine, Glitter Girl?
Well, it's Sunday and I still haven't done my homework yet.
The swelling in my knee has slipped down and now I have a FAT FOOT.
The significant other and his son are out at the beach while I'm hanging around here staring at my elevated foot and eating homemade granola dry. I bet it's very fattening.
Gonna set the alarm for 3PM and then throw dinner in the oven and maybe, just maybe, hit those books.
I hate being in pain but I see that I'm not alone and like you, Kitty, no one is opening up my back anytime soon. Wishin they made a pain killer you couldn't become addicted to. I remember a plaque my mother used to have hanging in the basement (wish I'd grabbed it when we moved) It said "Why is it that everything I like is either illegal, immoral or fattening?" Touche'
Good luck with that new gig Rick. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. π I miss my Dad and think of him everyday.
I look forward to your visit Dan!! Peach.
Had a few friends over yesterday for a jam session, and rehearsal today for a CD release party next week.
I am about to start a new music project that should be very interesting and quite fun. Teaming up with Ray Highsmith...this guy really does some good work.

Good Old Sunday Morning..:sunny:
another million dollar Blue Sky day here on L.I. π
Luke we need an update on Amy.. Please...
Rick I purchased just recently myself the Keurig Brewer coffee maker.. I swore I would never buy another one... had many different kinds through the years and always went back to my farberware electric coffee maker.. This one is great and I also love it.. makes one cup at a time..flavored if you like.. I also have the screen to make my own ground coffee in it.. I am liking the millstone breakfast blend.. I am a light roast person thou.. most people like it much stronger or bolder.. I also look for different ones to try... so I am posting this and going to have my cup of coffee.. yum... enjoy...
Happy Fathers day to all who are celebrating... A big hug for my own Dad.. Love him.. he was and is a fine example of a good man.. and to my husband Bill.. as well..
All you Daddies enjoy your day.. now get BBQing today LOL..
