Bird 72 glad the show is worthwhile. When listening to the 5 man band you realize how great Dickey and Barry were they have to fill in for Duane. They can't cover it all but they give it all they have.
playin' the tape (no 1) and it is pretty sweet 🙂 I'm sure this show is traded (SUNY 72)but it is interesting in this format. Mix is soundboard and Berry and drums are totally left channel and Gregg and Dickey are totally right channel. It is cool to isolate left and hear Berry, he was amazing. At any rate this tape appears real deal great analog. Will do thread and post pics on ABB site in next couple of days. It is cold here and I go bellring in it again in a bit..... wheee.....
Good questions BBR. The Collectors 1 should be in every home and jukebox in America.
Hope the tape is in good shape and sounds good Birdman.
If anyone is in or around New Jersey this weekend...

And guess what?
As always, NO COVER!
Sure loved the 2000 version of DB&GS.
I think Collectors I is a great piece of work.
I sure wish Dickey's releases were more readily available. I notice when I am out and about, and playing these new high tech jukeboxes...I can search for just about anyone, and find some obscure stuff, but Dickey's solo stuff is just about non-existent on them.
What gives? Is it a distribution thing?
Why no Dickey on the jukes?
:waving: Right on Brother Tyler. Hope you, mama, and them youngin's are doin' good.
Thanks for the video Brother Tennkev! Hope you are well!

happiness is looking at a couple of 7" reels of tape with a soundboard 72 show the mailman brought yesterday, more happiness I hope later when I test play ****analog bliss****
They'd both get my vote.
MTB and CDB together in the Hall of fame. Their tours together were legendary.
I agree Ned! It is criminal that The Marshall Tucker Band is not in the Hall Of Fame! They were an outstanding talent. Extremely underrated in my humble opinion.
How about Charlie Daniels for the Rock hall of fame.
good old john scher..... thanks Tommy, loving it
Long time, no see. And greetings from NJ.
Capn, if you haven't seen, below is a little old-time religion for you.
(Topper Price may be on other videos from this show.)
The promoter John Scher was ahead of his time with video, and now has a library from shows at Passaic & Asbury Park, from 1970s into the '80s. Here's a sample.
