I think I'd let Glen Campbell play in my band.
Happy Veterans Day to all those that have served.......I am forever grateful !!!!!
I spent 4 years in the Air Force and look back on it very fondly!!!!!
Happy Friday Everyone!!!!! Have a GREAT weekend!!!!!
Rick,
I agree about seeing Glen Campbell. He is best known for his TV show & timeless performances of those great Jimmy Webb tunes, but Glen is/was a monster guitar player. Gets the absolute best "clean" strat tones...
check out his solo at the end of this performance a few years ago (around 2:38)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0z-bVvAt9M
Haha Steve, right on...
I dont think they do country in Southern France...
Gregg was rubbing elbows with some young talent.
Seeing Glen Cambell was a little sad.
Jim...
..."it" or
..."her"
would be more appropriate.
Did anyone catch Gregg Allman on the CMA's the other night. sang "Georgia" with the Zac Brown Band... must have gotten a hall pass from Butch in order to perform on a "country show"
Edmund Burke once said: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”
Thinkin' bouchya, Kev! Nic, have a terrific time "down Highway 41!" Rainy, Lizzie, Kitty, Kimberly, Rick, Jim, Wayne (did you miss my kiosk invite?), Tyler, Luke, Neil, Capn, and everyone else I'm forgetting, have a terrific day and weekend. My alma mater, Wofford College is playing GA Southern for the Southern Conference Championship Saturday, and I loosely organized a tailgate party and reunion of about 10-15 brothers so I am really excited about seeing some of my good old friends, particularly my ex-roommate and terrible twin who has leukemia but fighting like a soldier.
Last but certainly not least, my respect, admiration, and heartfelt gratitude goes out for all Veterans - selfless, devoted, loyalists to and defenders of the cause of INDIVIDUAL freedom and liberty.
Thank you to all our Veterans for your Service to our Great Nation!!!! Remembering all who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thinking of my Dad, a Korean War Bronze Star Receipient. Stay Safe FrankieB and Forrest Sibley.
Thinking of Berry today. One hell of a bass player and the original Brother.
Best wishes today Kev. We are southbound in a few minutes. We are taking Highway 41!!!! Peach.
Jim, I agree with you...a can of balls would be a good thing now and again.
Morning Regulars....enjoy your day.
Tony, thanks for the PM. Anytime, the door is open.
:birthday: wishes to US MARINE 'S.. isn't that what you wanted to say Hemlock...
Prayers and get well wishes to Kev..
B E R R Y .. the bass man, like no other .. missed... RIP
:dog:  :inlove:
Healing on Kev's shoulder.
Thinking of Berry today. Still have an old note "we're STILL not breaking up". I was pretty broke up.
Thinking for Berry Oakley this morning..........Rest easy brothers..........I will playing your music all day.........You are not forgotten!!!!!!!!!!
RIP Berry there will never be another !
Good Luck Kevin!!
Sending out (((((((Prayers and Healing Vibes))))))) to brother TennKev...Hope everything goes well... We'll be thinking of ya....
Hey Wayne. I must second that the 2002 lineup was the best. I am sure Frankie was with the band in 2002 as I remember him sitting chatting with us at the Columbus Ohio show at the Brickyard in 2001. Frankie Lombardi is a fine musician!! I would really enjoyed the Tombstone Eyes tune and Frankie would play accoustic guitar and sing. Goodtimes. I hope to go see Frankie tomorrow night in Sarasota at a club.
Thanks for the Kind words sent my way you all. 😎 Peach
