Read today where the Navy SEALS Team 6 got in, got out, and rescued 2 hostages. Killed 9 pirates...got the job done. I salute the US Military for job well done.

It was good to read what Pam said about Nic...the antibiotics should do the job, and the news about the lymph nodes is encouraging as well. I have met many people with cancer, and Nic is one of the most remarkable people I know (wish I had met in at a show). He benefits from his postivie attitude, and from his having Pam on his side, as much as from any doctor he sees. I join with all of us in sending love and healing vibes! Mitch

Funny, I was a big regular on the ABB site, before Dickey was fired. Then when he started his own site, I was one of the very first to join. When that site moved here to hittin the web, likewise I joined right away too. Additionally, I was very, very active here. However, all the posting bullshit took it's toll and Facebook offered a much more pleasant environment. There, if someone becomes a jerk, you just laugh and un-friend them. Funny enough, I've only un friended one person since I joined there shortly after it started. I do stop by every couple of weeks just to see if anything is happening with Dickey. Today I noticed that the ABB will be awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys and Dickey will be there with the rest of the band. That's a great thing I think all the way around and I'll actually watch the Grammy's to see it. Here are some words from Dickey that we all should strive to live up to and in the words of Captain Picard, 'Make It So': "People can you feel it, Love is everywhere"

A word about Nic from.... Pamela Nicodemus Havent been on Facebook much lately. Update on Nic. Yesterday they were considering surgery on him, so he went all day without eating or drinking. Then he got a regular meal for dinner. Today the Dr. came in, and said they were going to continue with the antibiotics through IV, and pain meds. They found 2 microorganisms in his surgical area, so hopefully that will take care of the infection. I came home last night, and am going back tomorrow. I think he will probably be there until at least Fri. We did get good news, however, on Monday. Only the one lymph node came back with cancer, as they suspected. The others that they removed were all cancer free. So if we get him through this little hitch, he will be doing good. He is determined that next Tues. (31st) he will be at the hospital to welcome our new granddaughter. Sarah is scheduled for C-Section. It has been a busy week. Nice to have a day home by myself to get things done. Thanks for all the prayers from all our friends and family.

Right on Brother Pinto........sounds like a great idea. My plan is to give Nic and Pam a visit in May or June. Maybe do a little fishing or catch a show, if possible. If the fishing and concert doesn't work out, that'll be just fine. Just hanging out w/ him and Pam will be cool w/ me. Continued thoughs, prayers, and vibes to Nic, Pam, and all you cat's out there.

Two great stories, Kev and Jim! Thanks a ton for sharing those. Never having met Nic, I don't know how he is personally but his goodness radiates all over these pages. I have been praying for him these last two days and can't wait til he can come home! Nic, hear me brother - I have NEVER met anyone in my life who is more positive but selfless and just plain GOOD! I am going to make a road trip to see a show with you sometime this year and that's something I've never done before! And even if I have to wrassle him down I'm bringing Jim King with me - Kev too! Wayne, you can come, too but if you start talking about you know what, we'll muzzle you!

when some type people call you a derogatory term, it can be the equal to a 180 degree opposite type person giving you a compliment, it is sort of that double negative thing equalling a positive..... it's all great 🙂
