Lotta good vibe from a lot of good people around here. Nic, glad you feeling better and know how special it was to fish with your grandson. A special prayer to the guardian angels for his protection and guidance. Sure would love to see that special gig with the LP Trio. Lizzie, welcome to the paw paw patch when you get here! Right on bobpage, I was checking that out too. :guitarist: Rock on Dickey!! Should be interesting. Wondering what the setlists will be like with the LP trio? Didn't Brother Dave Stoltz play w/ Les Paul? Good stuff Brother Nic. Glad you had a good ol' time w/ Myles, TerriB, and any other friends and family. ((((Love & prayers to Nic, Pam, Rainy, Pam & Brother Dave Stoltz, and all of the DB website family)))) (((((Moving south vibes))))) to the Dream Lady. 😎 Headed down to Cary, N.C. tonight to see Furthur  . Hi Rainy. Thanks for the Kind words you always have for us all. I hope you are doing well. Please keep Pam Stoltz and Brother Dave in your Thoughts and Prayers folks. Very cool about Dickey doing the Les Paul gigs!!! 😎 When I think of the ABB I think of Dickey. I am sure glad us fans have not cast him aside as Gregg and Butch have. He is still very much respected in the music world!!!! I have spent four wonderful days with my grandson Myles. We have caught lots of fish and had a Goodtime. He is leaving this morning to go home to prepare to leave on 17 July for Air Force Basic Training. We had a surprise visitor yesterday as TerriB stopped by our home on the Lake and had fresh OHIO Walleye for lunch with. We Love her very much!!!! She is just what I needed and God works in many ways. I have been under the weather but feeling much better the past few days. Thanks for the Prayers sent my way. I Love you all!!! Peach.

Something I found on another site. Kinda sums it up right on the mark. The story of the Allman Brothers Band is one of triumph, tragedy, redemption, dissolution, and a new redemption. Over nearly 30 years, they've gone from being America's single most influential band to a has-been group trading on past glories, to reach the 21st century as one of the most respected rock acts of their era.

saw this mention on the Ratdog fan website This should be interesting. Legendary Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts will perform a pair of rare intimate shows at NYC's Iridium on Monday, August 20, as part of the club's trademark Les Paul Mondays series. Betts will honor The Iridium's patron saint, Les Paul, by performing with the late icon's Trio for sets at 8pm & 10pm. General tickets for the shows, which also mark the latest installment of the monthly Guitar World & The Iridium Present series, go on sale July 12, but fans of The Iridium on Facebook can participate in a pre-sale for the best seats in the house today by clicking here. In Les' honor, The Iridium seeks to balance living legends like Betts with genre-defying trailblazers, like Maria Muldaur (7/17-18), Greg Ginn of Black Flag (7/29-30), Albert Lee (8/10-12), and Stanley Jordan (8/16-19). A portion of the door from each Les Paul Monday show goes to benefit The Les Paul Foundation, which pays tribute to Paul's memory by supporting music education, engineering and innovation.

yup, JB... Doug always claimed CC was his nephew... oddly enuff, Abbie says Doug was an only child, how can he have a nephew ????? detour on 85? sounds do-able... Greenville and sparkle city ( even perhaps Anderson?? ) as gregory now sings ( having changed the words) " Once again we sail on to new horizons " ( instead of "home to sarasota" ) seems GLA often forgets where "HOME" is, could be the result of going from couch surfing br'er to millionaire entertainer... remember, today is the day of the latest cyberthreat... change passwords/run virus scan/ be cautious of suspicious links RIP BBEEB br'er bill ector/ernest borgnine... 😥

Hey ya'll!!! Hope everyone had a good weekend... EZM is right... Zac Brown has some ABB ties with Chris Fryer. He is pretty awesome on drums. The whole dang band is good. I thought this tune Uncaged had some ABB/Dickey elements to it. Pretty cool in my opinion.

Having an iced coffee with vanilla almond milk and putting off emptying yet another cabinet. The "for sale" sign has come down and it's time to pack. Never thought I'd see the day. Wish me luck and encouragement to get off my duff and get to work. Good ole Sunday morning; someday soon I'll be headed down ole Highway 41.

 .......thanks Ed & I agree. I sure miss that band too. Gonna get funky and boogie down w/ the New Riders of the Purple Sage tonight. And even better, I get to sleep at my own crib 'cause they are playin' in this one horse town that I live in. I usually have to travel to Raleigh, Charlotte, Richmond, or D.C., so this is quite a rare treat here in Lynchburg. Now I need to talk 'um into booking Dickey and the boys. I believe I'd sh*t myself if that were to happen.
