wow Lizzie
Thank you all for the kind words. it's all good..
Lizzie I am checking dates and will let you know.. the south is calling my name and pulling me there.. it is mystical , really.. Things really do happen for a reason, we are never sure why and sometimes we don't ask why, and sometimes we ask why to much..
I'll call you soon
:dog:  :inlove:
Rainy and I have been in touch. I went back over the last few days and see that "person's" post with regard to my friend is gone. I'm glad I never read it. I don't know if it was deleted by him in a fit of sanity or by the man in charge here but if there is a man in charge and he did so, thank you.
Rainy is not a person that deserves anything negative said about her because she is one of the genuinely nice, real, honest and beautiful women I have ever met. I am honored to call her "friend".
Pinto, the greatest female performer I have ever heard is Bobbie Gentry, that lady can flat out sing, not to mention she wrote her own material and was pretty smart in the music business. And she is beautiful!

Also enjoy hearing Ella Fitzgerald sing, an amazing voice. Diana Ross and The Supremes also sounded really good.
Unfortunately, sad but true Rick.
I hope so Pinto. I certainly like Midnight in Harlem and the White House performance of I'd Rather Go Blind was very moving indeed, but my favorite thing that I've heard them do so far is Everybody's Talkin'. Why? It compels me to stand up and dance.
I like a slow, purdy song thrown in there every so often, but I would much rather be getting down. Derek can certainly play and Susan can definitely belt it out, but for me......at least 70-80% of the time......it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. Thats one of the many reasons I love Dickey & Garcia's stuff so much. Lookin' forward to it fo' sure.
The 'Jam for Duane' is now in it's 37th year. We do this to honor Duane, pure and simple. It is for his music, legacy, and the infinite effect he continues to have on all people whether you are a musician or not.
I know at Skydogs Band gigs, we have young folks come up all the time and ask who plays that song, or where is that music from. It is a very humble and wonderful feeling to be able to share Duane's music with folks. It becomes even more fulfilling when fans like the one's here come to the event and share the spirit.
If you cant make it, we know y'all are there in spirit. Your donations really help pull this together. NO proceeds go to anyone. Everypenny goes to the event to cover the cost to do this.
I hope everyone will continue to support this event and honor Duane for what he gave all of us.
Kev - you are going to be raving about that show Wednesday morning!
TK:
The Putz cannot do as you suggest. After years now of seeing the same thought pattern, the same process, the same topics, the same phrasing structure, the same hatred of women, one can see his incapacity to get out of his own way.
The flames thrown his way are his only sense of human contact, his only dysfunctional mode of contact with people. He therefore wakes every day to come here, to continue a cycle he finds comfort in.
Punative words and actions are comforting to him, for these give him a sense of purpose.
Such is the journey of Putz, the shell.
HAHAHA!
Everyone knows the "Dunce" as Prine.
Im now adding "The Putz".
Tedeschi Trucks is something I just can't miss. That Revelator cd rates up there with the finest blues I've ever heard, including vintage ABB and the Dominos.
And Wayne, if you don't like Tedeschi's voice, whose do you like???? Are you deaf? Have you heard Midnight In Harlem? How any man could hear that angelic seductive sweet coaxing voice weaving through notes like silk with the power of 10 viagra tablets and not love it calls into question your manhood, sir! Yes, I will be there!
BTW... according to no less than Mr Tucks himself the entire concept of TTB is to service to the wondrous voice of Susan. And I can't wait to see them do that Etta James tune which they did with Warren Haynes at the White House. WHOA BABY!!!!
Hey Kev, you should have a great time, any chance you get to hear Derek play guitar is a treat. Although I do not care for Susan's vocals, the TTB band sounds great, especially the song "Bound for Glory." I do not like this music as much as I like the music of the DTB lineup, but some great players on stage.
Hey Jim, not a Clemson alumni, just have always pulled for them, not much orange around the house or on the car anymore. I now have a USC spur logo and a USC Dad decals on the back of the car. And to top it off, my car is a garnet color. It always looke a little strange with the orange tiger paw on there anyway.
I'll be seeing them this coming tuesday in Roanoke, Va..
Never seen 'um before and have mixed emotions based on what I have seen on youtube, but hoping for a boogie down good time.
Good Morning all! Heading into NYC tonite to see Tedeschi Trucks Band at The Beacon, one of three nites in NYC...later alligators!
Kimberly
 Typical cowardly reaction "Sis". You get your a$$ handed to you, so you delete your original post. It was such a stupid post and made you look like such an idiot, I don't blame you for deleting it 😆 .
Maybe if you would practice that silence is golden stuff or show a little got damn respect, you wouldn't get your a$$ handed to you on such a regular basis :lol2: .
HAHAHAHA once again, the Dunce arrives, lobbing up softballs.
Idiot, Ive seen firsthand at the JFD:
1. New friendships made.
2. Kids exposed to Duane Allman's music for the first time.
3. New romances made.
4. Terms like "brother" and "sister" shared about conversations.
5. Tears of joy, good times past
6. Stories shared of Duane, from those close in his life.
ALL of these are aspects unique to Duanes concepts of music and the Brotherhood. The JFD is a bonafide extension of what Duane started.
Of course, you dont know this because you have never supported the event, nor do you possess the mental capacity to absorb facts, because you are a stupid, dense, moron.
Putz.
Update: The annual 'Jam for Duane' will be on Oct. 6th at the world famous "Horsepens 40" venue. They offer camping, a General Store, restaurant, bath/showers, and fantastic natural rock formation trails. The venue is BYOB (no sales) and is family friendly. Located on top of Chandler Mtn. near Steele, Alabama.
There will be lots of music and a cool auction of some Duane related items at the event. All proceeds go to the event.
Come support Duane's legacy and share the spirit of the music.
Thanks everyone, I will pass these along to Andy. He will be home for the weekend, we will experiment with more recipes for the blender!
Hey Wayne, you are so right about being on the water Brother. I do hope you join me someday. Kevin is also talking about coming up sometime. Would love to have you all join me hopefully for some fishing and Goodtimes!!!! Sorry to hear of the injury to your son.
This site is full of fine folks who do care about each other. Pam and I have received many Kind jestures from people we have never met.
It is a good day to be alive!!!!!! 😎 Beautiful Blue Sky day in Ohio. Play some Dickey Betts music today!!! Peach.
Hey Wayne...that train video with the song Rudy sure was very well done...the music was timed to the motions of the train.
I hope your son heals fast. I would go nuts if my jaw was wired shut!
TennKev...if you ever get to NY, "Let's All Get Together"!
Rainy...I am going to SuperTramp with Marie, and our friends Ken and Cathy. If you can go, we should get together for dinner first. Hope to see you.
Mitch
Wayne, check pm's.
😮 OUCH.......dang Brother Wayne...I'm sorry to hear about your son's injury to his jaw. That freakin' hurts just thinking about it. Healing vibes to him for sure.
Thanks Brother Pinto and right back at 'cha man. Other than 1 sh*t stirring, constantly changing his name, moron, I think everyone on this site are good, caring folk. At least thats what I've seen 99.9% of the time.
