"Hoping DBGS has some dates coming up and that Donna is fully recovered."
Peace & Ride The Mule,
Tom
Went into a guitar shop in North Carolina yesterday and Dickey's name came up in that they had just received info that Dickey is selling many of his personal guitars. One or two from the 1950's were over 100,000.00 dollars. Said he really didn't need to money but decided it was time to turn a chunk of his collection into cash.
Has anyone heard about this? I haven't until the guitar shop told me?
Dickey's old National steel body guitars would sell well. The guitar Duane played "Little Martha" would also. Dickeys 1957 Goldtop he played as his main stage guitar from 1974 to 1994 may be one that sold in 6 figures. His Fender Strat hardtail, it's a 1956 and well road worn, also is said to be a 6 figure guitar. Hope Dickey didn't get rid of those guitars but if he needed to cash in..well okay. He doesn't play them now much anyway. Another would be the Les Paul burst he bought in 1971 with the zebra pickups.
Anybody heard that Dickey recently sold many of his best guitars?

Continued love and prayers to Nic & Pam, Danny Toler, Forrest Sibley & all our servicemen & women in the Middle East.

Braxton Miller is another local talent of ours. He is from Huber Heights just south of us. I think Braxton is the real deal. There are a lot of good QB and other talent coming out of college into the NFL recently. Good stuff!!!! Peach.
well Nic, 'ol Ohio St. has gotten themselves an "SEC" coach....haha. Nevertheless, they have one hellova team this year. Landry Jones is the real deal. Maybe we should be glad they are not playing post-season..
and Dan kicked Woody out of his home!!! You are one hell of a man Dan!!! ๐ Peach.
Wayne Woodrow "Woody" Hayes (February 14, 1913โMarch 12, 1987) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at Denison University (1946โ1948), Miami University (1949โ1950), and Ohio State University (1951โ1978), compiling a career college football record of 238โ72โ10.
During his 28 seasons as the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes football program, Hayes's teams won five national championships (1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970), captured 13 Big Ten Conference titles, and amassed a record of 205โ61โ10. Over the last decade of his coaching tenure at Ohio State, Hayes's Buckeye squads faced off in a fierce rivalry against the Michigan Wolverines coached by Bo Schembechler, a former player under and assistant coach to Hayes. During that stretch in the MichiganโOhio State football rivalry, dubbed the "Ten-Year War," Hayes and Schembechler's teams won or shared the Big Ten Conference crown every season and usually each placed in the national rankings.
Despite his great achievements at Ohio State, Hayes's coaching career ended ignominiously when he was fired after striking an opposing player during the 1978 Gator Bowl. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1983.
Hey Brent, if what you say is true I sure am glad the Buckeyes don't have to play any of you SEC guys!!!! That is a big load off my mind!!! haha. Peach.
Brent, thoughts and prayers to your family and especially Forrest today and every day, Brother!
The Florida- SC game is gonna be everybit as good as last weeks game with LSU. Cant wait for that one!
Too bad the SEC has to beat each other up. Bama, LSU, SC, Florida all could wipe the floor with the other top 10 teams. Roll Tide!
Dan, being a Browns fan, you know something about being a Gamecock fan...
Yes Nic I think about our Service members quite alot. Being a small community I know quite a few young womenand men enlisting.. the parents always say they are proud of their daughters and sons for serving OUR COUNTRY! And we all pray they all come home safe and sound !
For the Browns it was welcome out come. Win or lose they are still my team.. yeah Iam a glutton for punishment.
WE needa Dickey show up here in the near future !!
Nic glad to see you bringing your "Soulshine " to this ite Bro!
Dan
Brent, God bless Forrest and I do pray for his safety every day. It seems so shallow and small to say thank you to those who sacrifice so much on our behalf, but I truly do feel so grateful and appreciative of his service. I know how proud you are of him and he is absolutely one of the finest people that we produce in this great Nation. I pray that I will shake his hand and yours at the next JFD.
Thanks Nic. As of friday, he was ok.
Conditions much worse in afganistan in terms of the number of taliban and their aggresive behavior. the govmt is not telling the truth..no surprise.
Please keep Brent's son Forrest and all our Servicemen, Servicewomen and their Families in your Prayers. Tough times out there for the Military folks. Peach.
Hey Kev!!! I hope you are doing well Brother.
Hey Dan, how about those Browns?????? ๐
Piqua High School and OSU graduate running back Brandon Saine who plays for the Green Bay Packers received a knee injury in the game last night. It may be season ending. It is tough seeing one of our local NFL players injured. Brandon is such a fine young man. Peach.
:waving: Hoping everyone is doing ok out there. Love, prayers, and vibes to Danny Toler, Nic & Pam, Dona Maria, Brother Dave & Pam and all you good folks.
Yes we did and WHEN you get that break you come brother... I am looking forward to it :smokinsmiley:
