Happy belated B-day to Duane and Capn's dad! Lots of birthdays around this time. My baby girl just turned one as well back on the 11th! Time sure flies.
Thinking of Brother Nic as well. You know he would be gettin' his boat ready for some spring fishing. Wish I would have been able to take him up in his generous offer. 🙁

This has been a very tough year so far for Dickey Betts. At Christmas time his brother was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. A few weeks ago he passed away. Dickey and Joel were very close, in fact sharing the same birthday.
Dickey advised me that he has decided to discontinue touring until further notice.
He also wanted everyone who posted condolences to know it meant a lot to him to read them. I hope you join me and respect the privacy of the Betts family at this time.

Happy I was able to catch two shows the past two years from the cat-in-the-hat. Whether or not he decides to continue on, he still has my love and respect and sincere gratitude for all the wonderful music he has passed my way.
In fact, I thought the last time I saw 2009, would have been my last since he said he was retiring after that. So I guess I wouldn't count Dickey out....EVER! He just needs time to heal.
We love you Dickey! Come back when your ready and we will be there!
