Simply, personal responsibility. I believe you have the right to own any weapon you want, but with that comes responsiblity. Ted Nugent is a Patriot and the hate and critique of his personal beliefs are typical of the liberal communist agenda. Everyone in this country has the right to believe what they choose. Guns should be legal in every sense, for any lawful purpose, by any legal entity. Guns prevent crime. Now, you want perspective? How many babies were aborted in the last 25 hours? Frankly, that is a loathesome attitude to me and one which is - like your opinion about gun regulation - thankfully not shared by very many people in or retired from the military. Believe it or not, many people still believe that our Constitution was devised to assure that individual rights and liberties are not abridged or usurped by the Federal government. As tragic as these events are, they are not as tragic as the loss of 2nd Ammendment protection. I don't give a damn if you don't want to exercize your right to own weaponry, but I cling to that right for myself and anyone else who wants it. We're getting perilously close to losing our private property rights and many other individual rights and there may be a time when it becomes necessary to defend them. Indeed, people like you and Barney Mason would in the same breath seek to deny people like Ted Nugent, Brent, and me the right to voice our opinions while at the same time calling us fascists, nazis, bigots, racists, etc bla bla bla and/or wishing us dead. If you ever bothered to read the Federalist Papers, you would know that the 2nd Ammendment exists for the very reason that an unarmed citizenry cannot resist oppression and tyrrany by its own government. The many tragedies in countries where genocide reigns testify to the truth of that condition.
