Thanks Mary. I could be totally wrong(it wouldn't be the first time), but my guess is BBR felt the need to post again because of the sh*t storm that was created because your hero Gregg wasn't painted in the perfect light and it ruffled a few feathers.

Tennkev hate to break it to ya but bbr felt perfectly comfortable expressing his opinion twice, he doesn't need your endorsement to feel welcome to do so. Nor does he need you to validate his opinion for him. bbr does just fine by himself.
No clarification needed BBR. You are entitled to your views and opinions just like anyone else. You weren't the only one that didn't like the show. Some dug it, some didn't. Such is life.

Looks like I should clarify my review of the Bay Harbor Festival performance by Gregg...
With a few days of hindsight, I may have been a little harsh...but just a little and I stand by my opinion (and that is all it is).
I am sure my initial rant was flavored by the fact that all my buddies, that I brought along especially to see Gregg, had gone home after waiting for 3 hours. I would have waiting to daybreak, but that is because I have been a Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, real ABB freak since the age of 15...the real ABB (Dickey and Gregg).
However, I will stick with my comments about his condition on stage and performance. I do not have an opinion on if it was medical or not...may well have been.
I am also familiar with the Whipping Post version that is jazzed up...similar to the Searching for Simplicity version I think. As I opined, I like just about every version I have heard. But not this one...just too slow and uninspiring.
Midnight Rider was painfully slow and just not the performance I was expecting. Also, treated us to an hour show when he was slated to do 1 1/2 hrs...and we anxiously waited and he arrives 3 hours late. Some folks made the hour drive from New Orleans and had to drive home and he comes on at 10:35 ? Past some of us oldtimers bedtime.
Perhaps another factor in my observation was the fact that the last few times I saw him he was healthy and in top form.
All these are factors that probably tainted my perception and I do look forward to seeing this musical icon again. We will not have the opportunity to see Gregg or Dickey forever and I don't want to miss any shows.
If medical, his team should have called and cancelled. You know how it is when someone you know and love let's you down...that's all.

When you find the videos, show the Whipping Post one to BBR. I'm curious if he stands by his comments on that one. Of course it's OK if he does.

1) I'm not inclined to want to help you out with anything, ever.
2) I especially am not inclined to want to help you find videos that are so easily found on your own. You are lazy.
3) I know that once you do find the videos we will all have to listen to your opinion, and I'd like to avoid being subjected to that for as long as possible.
