Good Evening ,
I am hoping that Dickey Betts is recovering..
On the situation of the site possibly closing down..that would be a shame for the fans of DB. Not all people go to facebook.. I am not a fan of FB.. I just don't get it, I guess.
Rick and anyone that wants to join me in discussing DB music or adding music of the day that is interesting to them I'm all for it. Music is a great form of communicating.
Have a great Fri. evening all

Lotsa buzz about the original HYDRA performing at this year's 'Jam for Duane'. These guys are living history in the world of music. JFD 2013 in Gadsden, Al Sept. 7th Studio B venue.
Sat 1pm-1am. All for Duane.
I think cancelling a concert is far less terrible than, oh, say, defaulting on a large loan, that ALL of us pay for in the end, through higher interest rates, etc. It is amazing what public information is readily available on those that do. some who may get absolutely indignant over a 40 dollar wrong, that is refunded may themselves be guilty of trangressions in the multi thousands.
Thanks for the update Capn, glad all is well. I too am surprised it didn't melt down. Keep it real and ignore what's not.
More Reese vids please!
Reese often joined -=DDT=- and his various bands these past few years.
Dickey is fine, hope to see him soon...
I hope this site does not shut down, but I won't be surprised if it does.
Smile on your brother, everybody get together try to Love one another somehow.
The term ( diagnosis ) you were looking for is sociopath
Have never seen reaction from Reese or any comments from him in interviews etc., about what that famous Jacksonville jam was like -- Duane said "ya gotta fight your way out" to the other guys when it was over -- & I guess Reese did!!! But they all knew Gregg would be the final fit to the puzzle, and ain't that the truth -- his perspective would be real interesting...
Reese's sit-in w/the Brothers a year or 2 later, when Gregg wasn't well (see sig line) -- very, Very nice playing
peace, good weekend :hippie:
From Reese's Wiki page...
"Wynans was a member of the Second Coming, which, from November 1968 to Feb 1969 also included two future and founding members of The Allman Brothers Band: guitarist Dickey Betts and bassist Berry Oakley. Wynans was involved in the initial jam session with Duane Allman, Betts, Oakley, Butch Trucks and Jaimoe that led to the formation of the Allman Brothers Band, but was eased aside in favor of vocalist Gregg Allman, as founder Duane Allman did not want two keyboardists, two guitarists and two drummers all in the same band."
That jazzy B-3 player went on to play some of the best blues keyboard with a guy named Stevie Ray Vaughn, and just finished producing his first cd with a guy named Sean Chambers.
Mr Reese Wynans.
Thanks for the vids Rainy. 🙂
Rainy, thanks for the Jacksonville tune! It's interesting to hear the jazz oriented style of the other organ player.
Happy Friday to all!

OK so does anybody(except goober)know for certain if the Louisville CO show is still a go? I may just go and if it's cancelled I can just hang out in Denver so it wouldn't be a total loss. Can also hit up pikes peak on the way home!
