The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and the historic Lucas Theatre for the Arts will present a special premiere screening of Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, featuring a special musical performance, a post-screening Q&A with members of the filmmaking team, a Pop-Up from the Allman Brothers Band Big House Museum and additional surprises.
“Gregg Allman’s music and artistry helped define an era of American rock and roll while leaving an indelible mark on the cultural fabric of Georgia and the South,” said Christina Routhier, Senior Executive Director of SCAD Theaters and Festivals. “As someone who called the Savannah area home for many years, Gregg held a special connection to this community and generations of music lovers throughout the South. We are honored to welcome audiences to the Lucas Theatre for this powerful celebration of his extraordinary life, creative spirit, and enduring legacy.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the screening beginning at 7:30 p.m. VIP ticket holders will receive exclusive early access beginning at 6 p.m. to experience memorabilia exhibits on display direct from The Big House Museum in Macon throughout the theater prior to general admission entry.

GENERAL ADMISSION — $25Includes admission to the film premiere with seating in the balcony or rear orchestra.
PREMIUM — $50Includes premium orchestra seating, a limited-edition commemorative poster, and expedited entry beginning at 6:30 p.m.
VIP — $100Includes VIP seating in the center orchestra, a limited-edition commemorative poster, 30 minutes early access to the theater and exhibits at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, and two drink tickets.
VIP BOXES — $500Limited availability. Sit in the Lucas Theatre’s ornate box seats with all the perks of VIP. There are four total seats in a box.
Part of the proceeds from the evening will support the establishment of a Gregg Allman Endowment at SCAD, helping foster future generations of creative talent and artistic innovation.
The event is part of SCAD’s year-round programming initiative, which brings influential voices in film, music, television, and the arts for screenings, conversations, and educational experiences connecting students and audiences directly with industry leaders and storytellers.
